The Gravy Train Is Finally Over, Thank God!
One more down and how many more can this President manage to tackle and solve before his term is over?
With President Obama signing the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act into law (Congress included the bill in the landmark health insurance overhaul), it marks the end of decades of unnecessary subsidies to banks and will save taxpayers $61 billion over 10 years. That money is being reinvested into expanded student loan and education aid ($42 billion), deficit reduction ($10 billion) and health care reform ($9 billion).
Finally we have a man in the White House that is dedicated to the people’s business and not big business' business. Greed has killed this country. Anything that permits a person or company to purposely control others is wrong. Of course they don’t call it “controlling, but rather laws that provide “for” or “in favor of” them. The insurance companies are a huge business in this country, but are they really doing something worthwhile and good for the people? How did the insurance companies get control of health care? For years they have dictated and controlled people. Abusing the power that was bestrode upon them at the expense of conscience and the well being of the people. There is a certain group of individuals here in the USA that believes that this is the American way. They believe that power is money and money rules the world. We all know who they are, with their 'holier than thou' attitude. Today they complain that they don't need government intervention because they can control themselves. In the long history of man, when has a man, left to his own devices, ever controlled himself? They say that the United States is becoming a socialist country with Obama Care and all the rest and I say we have gone too far in the other direct.
Socialists generally share the view that capitalism controls capital and derives its wealth through a system of exploitation. This in turn creates an unequal society, that fails to provide equal opportunities for everyone to maximize their potential, and does not utilize technology and resources to their maximum potential nor in the interests of the public.
Even though there is no specific, universally accepted definition of 'democracy', there are two principles that any definition of democracy includes: equality and freedom. These principles are reflected in all citizens being equal before the law and having equal access to power and the freedom of its citizens is secured by legitimized rights and liberties which are generally protected by a constitution.
Does everyone in this country have an equal opportunity? Have the insurance companies been exploiting the people in this country in handling healthcare? Have the private banks been fair in handling student loans when they are backed up by the US Government? It is not the private banks money that has been used to support these loans, it is the US Government’s money administered by our private banking system. Who controlled these banks? The answer is N O B O D Y! It is called greedy big business without a conscience exploiting our future leaders. After all it is the American way.
